Our Story
Established in 1980, Burlington Jewellery is a small, family-run business that began its journey on Collins Street in Melbourne. Built from a deep appreciation for antiques and a genuine passion for fine jewellery, Burlington was founded on a simple belief: that beautiful pieces should be chosen with care, honesty, and lasting value.
From the very beginning, we have been guided by a love for variety and craftsmanship, bringing together antique, vintage, and contemporary jewellery that appeals to collectors, couples, and anyone drawn to pieces with meaning and character.
In the late 1980s, Burlington moved from the CBD to High Street in Armadale, becoming part of Melbourne’s antique precinct. Although this chapter was brief, it helped shape our identity and strengthened our direction.
A defining moment came in 1990 with the opening of our store in Chadstone Shopping Centre. At a time when antique jewellery remained a niche market, we set out to make it more accessible while preserving its story and individuality. Chadstone became an important part of our journey and a place where many lasting connections were made.
In 2008, we opened a second store at Westfield Doncaster, extending our values to a wider community. The Doncaster store quickly became a place built on trust, familiarity, and long standing relationships with our clients.
In 2014, we returned to the city with our Little Collins Street store, bringing Burlington full circle while continuing to evolve with time and care.
As of 2026, Burlington Jewellery moves into a new and focused chapter, operating exclusively from our Doncaster store as our Chadstone location closes in April 2026. This marks the close of an important era and also reflects a thoughtful step forward, allowing us to dedicate our full attention to one store, one team, and one community.
Across every chapter, Burlington Jewellery has remained committed to what matters most, carefully sourced pieces, honest value, and jewellery chosen not only for how it looks, but for how it feels. From 19th-century antiques to contemporary designs, each piece carries its own story ready to be continued.

From Chadstone, With Love
When we first opened our Chadstone store in 1990, we could not have imagined it would become 36 years of our story 🤍
It started small, simple, and full of hope. This was where it all began.
Over time, the store evolved five times, each chapter quietly reflecting where we were in life and in craft.
In those early days, our windows were filled with antique chains, gold bracelets, daisy rings, and three-stone pieces, designs that would go on to become part of so many personal milestones.
Engagements. Anniversaries. Gifts. Memories.
But looking back, it was never really just about the jewellery. It was always about our clients.
Some of our clients first found us in the 90s, then years later returned with their children, watching them choose their own engagement rings and continuing a story that spanned generations.
As our Chadstone store closed in April 2026, we felt deep gratitude for everything it became.
Our journey continues through our Doncaster boutique, where the same heart, craft, and care carry forward everything that began there.
